Thubten J. Norbu
(Eldest brother to His Holiness
The Dalai Lama and Jigme’s Father)
I want to personally request your support for the upcoming walk from St. Augustine along the coast to West Palm Beach. On February 14th, our walk will cover over 300 miles and have many oppourtunities to share our message of world peace, human rights, and the Tibetan struggle for independence. I am asking for your support on spreading the news of this walk for our global cause. I would appreciate you linking to our website (www.ambassadorsforworldpeace.org or www.walkfortibetflorida.com), connecting via Facebook, forwarding our email, and sharing the word with your friends. We will post updates of our progress daily on our website, so please share so others can view the walk on a day to day basis.
Jigme Norbu will be joined by author-educator Donna Kim-Brand, offering an interactive talk ‘Wise Up:Create Your Future Now’; also Todd Huston, World Record Mountain Climber and leg amputee, speaking on ‘Peace and Personal Power’.
The 300 mile walk begins February 14, day of Love, in St. Augustine, founding city in the United States territory.   It continues along Florida’s Atlantic coast through Feb. 26 when the finale event is a drum-fest reception at the esteemed Ann Norton Sculpture Garden, West Palm Beach. Artist Ann Norton herself was a supporter of the Tibetan cause as reflected in some of her art works & friendships.
We are wanting volunteers to help and even join on the walk. If you are interested in more information please contact us via email at walkfortibet@ambassadorsforworldpeace.org. If you are unable to volunteer but would like to make a donation to support the walk, please visit our website.
Thank you for your support on this very important global cause!
