来月 、 中国 はジュネーブ （スイス ）で 、拷問に関する 国連 の委員会 によって 、その 論争の的となる 議題に挙げられています 。
委員会 がチベットにたいする 中国 の恐ろしい 拷問 記録 を公的に 上げる ことを確認する ために、元 政治犯 と 拷問 生存者 （Golog Jigme Gyatso ）と一緒に 、私 はジュネーブ に いきます 。

Next month, China will undergo its controversial review by the United Nations (UN) Committee against Torture in Geneva, Switzerland. I will be in Geneva, along with former political prisoner and torture survivor, Golog Jigme Gyatso, to make sure that the Committee publicly raises China’s horrendous torture record in Tibet. Last month, I went to the United Nations with Golog Jigme Gyatso as part of the Tibetan Advocacy Coalition, and we spoke to UN diplomats about China’s use of torture in Tibet. Golog Jigme Gyatso delivered a powerful testimony about the horrific torture that he experienced at the hands of Chinese authorities. Our next step is to travel to Geneva again, in November, to lobby UN experts at the upcoming review.
China will be questioned by a committee of UN experts on their failed human rights record. And China will have to answer! This will be our chance to ensure that Tibetans who have suffered torture at the hands of the Chinese government will be raised by the committee.
Since China's last review by the UN Committee against Torture in 2008, the situation for Tibetans have gone from bad to worse. After the mass protests in 2008, thousands of Tibetans were detained, arrested or disappeared and many of them remain in Chinese prisons today. This past July, Tenzin Delek Rinpoche died in Chinese prison after 13 years of unjust imprisonment, torture and denial of medical attention.
These are only some of the countless failures of the Chinese government since their last UN Torture Review, and the UN needs to confront China during the upcoming review. But it all starts with our action!
